I stood, facing the villain. My revolver felt good in my hand, like a heavy feeling of security. "I wouldn't try that if I were you." He stopped reaching for his own gun. "You see, even if you
think you can draw faster than I can fire, I have two friends standing behind you and they're trained on your head. We'd rather take you alive, but it's not necessary. And don't worry about your little friends. They probably won't make it either." I felt like winking at him, but thought better of it. It would probably be unprofessional to gloat.
I could see the wheels in the man's head revolving around the idea of fighting or running. I could feel the gun in my hand screaming with all its force. I could see my friends behind the bugger just waiting for an excuse to open fire.
It was the best case I had ever led.
I might get a promotion.
I might get a raise.
I would win.
And yet, I had a sinking feeling that my backup were double agents. So I woke up.
Best dream ever.
I never get to win in dreams, so the fact that I felt like I was winning was so awesome. Then, I immediately didn't feel like I was winning, because the guys on the balcony behind the villain were double agents, so I just won again by waking up. Not IN a dream, per say, but I totally won.
ReplyDeleteYou totally won! Congratulations!
ReplyDeleteThis makes me happy.
Now all I want to know is, who or what is "she"?
Bwahahaha he was so excited about winning that he slipped back into an old childhood speech impediment...don't be embarrassed, Robby, I do it all the time. Haha...
ReplyDeleteActually, I had the opposite problem. :P
ReplyDeleteInstead of "shoe," I could only manage "sue." Instead of "shiver," I said "siver." Instead of "ship," I said "sip." And mum was lucky she never had to worry about me cursing, because I could only muster a vicious "sit."
So . . . opps. Let me edit that lest I forget. You guys will know, tho, and that's okay I guess.
lol nice. epic win. you escaped the situation alive. villain=pwned.
ReplyDeleteThat is adorable.
ReplyDeleteI messed up just about every word that required consonants.
That's awesome! (I miss cool dreams.)
ReplyDeleteYay for dream-winning. Ugh, double agents...they ruin everything.
