Slip out of the brief confines of your life, my dear. Join me in sweet eternal bliss. Meet me in rapture and we can have heaven together to explore. All you need is love you haven't got. So get.

  1. Oh, Robby.

Surely you know as well as I that love just can't be gotten.

(This is an extraordinarily effective pick-up speech, which I assume is the point. It is thus transcendent in its beauty and dangerous in its inaccuracy.)

  2. What's sort of crazy is that I've had a friend tell me that if I really, really wanted a boyfriend, all I had to do was go out there and get one. Somehow this seems to strike that same chord for me.

    (Granted, I don't think it's that simple...)

  3. HA
    I DIDN'T THINK OF THAT

    IT WAS GOD
BUT GOD IS NOT QUITE SO UNEXPECTEDLY SEXY
WHY IS THAT, DO YOU SUPPOSE?

  4. Because, most often, we view God as Father and not as Lover, though both are equal views of how He loves us. I've been reading Song of Solomon for my devotions and, yeah, God is our Beloved as well as our Father. There's only so much that limited human language can describe.

  5. I started reading it that way, actually. But the the last two sentences threw me. I mean, we have God's love. We don't have to get it.

  6. But if you don't have love in YOUR heart, get.
