He forgot to say he loved her.
It wasn't particularly important at the time. It seemed obvious to him. She understood. It wasn't worth saying. Haha.
It's important to know.

I will make you cry tears of blood. Get ready to be depressed.
Dad asked me "How do you feel about her?"
ReplyDeleteI said "I like her."
His reply was simple.
"Tell her."
This reminds me of "Fiddler on the Roof."
ReplyDeleteI agree. And your dad is a smart man.
ReplyDeleteThe problem is that when she's stressed and or things are weird, saying it doesn't change anything. Still good to say.
ReplyDeleteOh, and if she's reading this, hi Kayla. I try to remind you from time to time.
Saying it DOES change stuff. even if she's still stressed out or things are weird, she still has that little bit of reality to cling to.
ReplyDeleteShe might not tell you, but it matters.
Maybe the change isn't all flamboyant like a butterfly, but... you know, starfish.
Eeh. Maybe I'm doing it right, maybe I'm doing it wrong. All I know is that whatever happens, Kayla will be well-informed.
ReplyDeleteRight or wrong, please just do it with panache.
ReplyDeleteShe's well-informed, btw. I'll let you know how it's going later, when the results are less depressing.
