Why do some words (monkey sausage) make no sense together?
Why do some words (darling lover) sound so sweet to human ears?
Why do words like (darkest night) and (rainy weather) consume our minds without an other
option for the words to use? Why not (ink)(deep)(damp) or (blue)?
Cliche, what did I ever do to you?
Arg, I know! My creativity is so limited...whenever my brain thinks it's coming up with something completely new, all of a sudden I realize it's just another cliche.
ReplyDeleteYou say that . . . but if you frame a cliche well, is it really a cliche anymore? It certainly isn't negative anymore, anyway.
ReplyDeleteI just don't like cliches because they annoy me because it's like people just reach for them first. If it happens on accident . . . eeh. You can tell. It's not like you start every story with "It was a dark and stormy night" or the "beautiful princess" did whatever, or like your first recourse is the phrase "it was good".
They say it's best to say old things in a new way or new things in an old way.
ReplyDeleteI don't know.
Why do you think "monkey sausage" makes no sense. It makes sense!
I think we're brought up to attach connotations to words.
Yeah.
"They" are stupid and I wish they would stop being so cocky. They're not always right, you know!
ReplyDeleteNope, but people still quote them.
ReplyDeleteIn other news, they must be men.
